The Charleston Bride
With a little over a year n Charleston I find certain things already clear and some still a bit gray. The clear is that since I have dove into the wedding photography world I have quickly realized there seems to be very little well organized, well thought out directories for photographers and brides. For being a city and state so recognized for weddings and a top 3 destination state for weddings one would think that this would be a hot bed for info and almost a streamlined approach for an out of towner or for even us locals to get a great user friendly listing from bridal stores to photographers and florists but it just does not seem to be. So with my brain brewing with idea's daily... frustrated with lack of info...I have started a strong pre-production into the site which will be called "The Charleston Bride". The domain has already been acquired and caries the same name- The Charleston Bride.com(not yet active)
The goal of the site is to mainly focus on helping a bride find the best vendors for their perfect day. From event planners to everyone else needed such as catering and photography they will all be there and over time their rating will be set by the user. It will be full of numerous ways to categories and refine what seems best for you with Q & A discussion, articles and listing to verify the brides instincts and hopefully find the key people that can be filtered from styles, to budget, and most of all free to the user. This will also help all vendors save a lot of money because there are so many of us burning through money on advertising and AdWords trying to individually get seen on the web through all that info that really should be refined down to our local area. My hope is that a bride or family member trying to plan or help plan a wedding can find who and what they need efficiently with a very comprehensive listing from venues, officiants, planners and everyone and thing they may possibly need for a wedding they dreamed of here in Charleston.
